The hardest part is trusting

Trust God
Often the hardest thing to do in any situation is to trust God. It’s often easier to try and fit on more thing into the day. To work a little longer, a little harder but to trust that God will close the gap is difficult. I can’t see Him. Even though I know He is there and He has proved himself faithful over and over in my life, I still doubt. So daily I have to remind myself of the great things He has done in my life… too many to count.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

New Living Translation (©2007)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.

Focus on the positives
A positive outlook is a decision. It doesn’t just happen. We have to get up every day and decide that we are going to have a good day. Before I get out of bed and stumble into the kitchen I have to remind myself that God is in control and that today is not about me. I am here on this earth to love God and my neighbor. When I take the focus off myself then the day is worth living. How can I help someone else succeed today? That is a goal worthy of getting out of bed to achieve.

Celebrate strengths
The same is true about relationships. Its too easy to focus on what is not working. What the other person isn’t. What they don’t have. Instead of focusing on the positive. Celebrating their strengths. Once again, that is our selfishness showing. Just accept them for who they are instead of trying to make them something they aren’t. Let God do the changing.

Most important, never stop dreaming. If you lose your dreams, you lose your hope. If you lose your hope, you will lose your faith. Never stop dreaming.
