God’s Growth Plan

by Robert Rizzo | Twitter, Facebook,

We should not struggle with our direction. God is teaching us what is
good for us AND leading our lives in the direction we need to go, if we
will only submit to His plan. Our biggest problem is doubting that God
is in control. Our culture thinks that life should be comfortable. That
discomfort is the result of a bad plan.

Isaiah 48 – Passage Lookup – New Living Translation – BibleGateway.com

17“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is good for you
and leads you along the paths you should follow.

But God is not interested in our comfort. He is interested in our character. And character is the product of pressure. We must be tried and refined so we can get out all the impurities, thoughts and misconceptions that prevent us from serving God will all our heart, soul and mind.
Everything else in this world is just something to do as God is developing us. Each activity of our day is an opportunity to succeed or fail in God’s economy. Will we listen to His teaching, follow His leading or will we be stubborn and do it our way?
Verse 19 tells us that the result of following His teaching is peace like a river and righteousness (right-standing with God) rolling over us like waves in the sea

Isaiah 48 – Passage Lookup – New Living Translation – BibleGateway.com

Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river
and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.
19 Your descendants would have been like the sands along the seashore—
too many to count!

I choose the path of peace and righteousness!
